Chiropratic

Chiropractic care is based on the scientific fact that the nervous system controls the function of every cell, tissue, organ, and system of the body.

The spinal cord–the gateway of the nervous system–is protected by bones, specifically the skull and vertebrae. When the vertebrae lose their normal position or move improperly, they irritate the nervous system. When the nervous system is irritated, it is called a subluxation. Detection of a subluxation and correction by spinal manipulation can relieve nerve interference and allow the spine and nervous system to return to a healthy state.

The philosophy of Chiropractic states that the body has an inborn ability to heal itself. Correcting subluxations by a Chiropractic adjustment allows the nervous system to work properly and heal the body naturally. Correction of the problem and maintaining good health is the goal of the Chiropractor. By restoring normal function to the neuro-musculoskeletal system, Chiropractors can play a major part in relieving disorders, and any accompanying pain or discomfort, arising from accidents, stress, lack of exercise, poor posture, illness, and the everyday wear and tear that happens to all of us.

As Doctors of Chiropractic we take a holistic approach to your health and wellbeing. This means we consider your symptoms in the context of your full medical history, your lifestyle, and your personal circumstances. As well as physical manipulation, Chiropractic care includes advice about exercise, nutrition, lifestyle, and activity.
